Our family had a fantastic time at the resort ( Husband, 4 year old and myself). The location was stunning, the staff was incredibly attentive, the accommodation was luxurious, the dining options were outstanding, and there was an abundance of activities to enjoy. The resort’s commitment to cleanliness and safety was reassuring, and they went the extra mile to create memorable moments during my stay. It was a truly exceptional experience

Accessibility – It was convenient and an easy ride to the resort. The parking area comes first, and then the reception.

Located on 550 acres of the Native American Santa Ana Pueblo between the Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande River.

Getting There – We parked the car outside the main reception entrance to conveniently offload the luggage. It is less than 5 mins walk from parking to reception. We are globalists at Hyatt properties, so we do have free valet parking. However, we chose to self-park for easy access to the car when needed during our stay.

Check-in – It offers a Native American vibe with a sense of serenity. The reception desk is on the left side opposite the entrance to the hotel. Reception staff was professional and friendly. The check-in process was super easy. We had a complimentary upgrade to our stay (one of the perks of being a globalist). Our room was conveniently located in Pumpkin wing near the pool and Santa Ana cafe (for breakfast). Given we have a 4-year-old, staff had well-thought-of our convenience to use the swimming and cafe amenities. She explained to us the overview of the resort, the walking trails, and other amenities at the resort – pools, breakfast (included with globalist status), spa area (the steam, sauna area included in our stay), walking trails, bike rentals, marshmallow roasting kit.

Room – It is a little indoor walk from reception to the room. We had a 1-room suite (700 sq ft). The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail in the design and furnishings created a serene and inviting atmosphere, allowing us to relax and unwind after a long day. We had a living room which offered fridge, coffee area, seating area, working desk, toilet, standing shower and balcony. Connecting bedroom had 2 queen beds, an arm chair, working desk, fridge, coffee area, bathtub, toilet, and a balcony. Both rooms were spacious, with ample storage area, beautiful and simplistic Native American decor, with lamps across the room.

  • Fridge – It is a standard mini refrigerator to store few items.
  • Coffee Table – They had coffee pods, tea pods, cups, stirrer and usual creamer and sugar items to make coffee.
  • Bathroom – They were reasonably spacious and well lit. We were very impressed with having hand soap and lotion bottles attached to the wall near the basin area. It was such a convenient option to have. The mirror was huge with backlit option so that was a great addition when getting ready. We would have loved to have drawers beneath the basin to store our toiletries. They only had 1 shelf at the bottom. In the bath area, they had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles attached to the wall, which again was so convenient and well-thought-out. Their bath products were great quality and had a beautiful fragrance. They had a showerhead and a hand shower option. This was very convenient to bathe a 4-year-old.
  • Beds – Beds were a little on the harder side, so not super comfortable, but they were average. They had a range of options to choose on the thickness of pillows which was good option to have.
  • Cooling And Heating System– It was a touchscreen system which was effective in maintaining the preferred cooling temperature in our room.
  • Balcony – We were on the lowest level; it was an open balcony/patio area. We had walls on either side of the balcony, and it was open in front. We were facing the pool area. We traded the convenience of pools and restaurants with the Mountain View.

We were impressed with the range of amenities and recreational options available at the resort. There was always something to do at the resort. The well-maintained facilities and the knowledgeable staff made every experience enjoyable and memorable.

Here is the glimpse of activities’ we did during our stay :

  • Marshmallow Roasting – Complimentary kit is available at reception after 7 pm (we had brought our own marshmallows for dietary preferences). The kit included sticks, chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows. They had multiple fire pits across the resort. Their fire pit was of gas with a stone fence. They had relaxing chairs across the pit, so it was fun for our 4-year-old to roast them safely and enjoy the warmth of the fire while the night was cooling off.
  • Bread Tasting – We had fun tasting the Native American freshly baked bread. Bread tasting was a complimentary experience offered in the reception area in the morning. They had a spread of flavored butter and fruit spread that we could choose on freshly baked warm bread. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about sharing the history behind the bread and fun facts.
  • Bike Rental – Bike rental is complimentary for 30 mins. We filled out a form for bike rental. Given we were during quiet time, we did have the freedom with the duration of renting the bike. They offered different bike sizes from kids to adults. They also had helmets and some cute ones for kids. They had a bike trailer attachment if the kids preferred to sit. The path is gravel, so our 4-year-old struggled to ride the bike. We opted for a trailer attachment.

Bike/walk trails – they have 3 trails ranging between 1-3 miles. The property map has the trail details.

  1. Trails Towards The Stable – First day we rode to the stable. It was a beautiful approximately 1 mile ride overlooking the mountains and grassland. They had lots of horses, chickens, goats and cows. Our toddler had fun exploring the area. They offer horse food that you can buy ($5) from their gift shop. You can pour the food into their designated tubs for the horse to eat. They also offer horse rides and carriage rides at an extra cost. Usually, they recommend booking a week in advance. We missed out on the opportunity to ride the horse as they were completely booked out. My daughter is 4 years old, so she was eligible for basic horse ride lesson which was $40 for 30 mins.

2. Grassland/Lake Trail – This trail oversees the trees and had a view of the lake at one spot. The beauty of this trail was having exercise spots across the trails like a variety of monkey bars, climbing the wall, bench press. Our 4-year-old had super fun exploring this trail with options to climb and play at each of the exercise spots. The spot to view the lake was beautiful as well. Water was still offering a calm environment. This is a gravel road and we opted for a trailer attachment.

The resort also offers a golf course, art & craft activities, cultural activities at an additional charge. Click here to check further details on activities’

  • Pool & Jacuzzi– The pool area is nestled in a picturesque location offering mountain views. It’s a visual treat that immediately puts you in a relaxed state of mind. There were plenty of comfortable loungers placed around the pool ensuring guests could find their perfect spot to soak up the sun or relax in the shade. Whether you’re traveling with family or as a couple, the pool area caters to all. There was a dedicated family pool section, ensuring that everyone could enjoy their swim without disruption. The jacuzzi was a tranquil oasis of warmth and relaxation. Tucked away in a secluded area, it offered a peaceful retreat. The water temperature was set just right that offered complete relaxation.

Food – We were very impressed with the culinary team for their exceptional dining experiences we had during our stay. We had breakfast included in our stay. We had breakfast at Santa Ana cafe. They serve breakfast brunch a la carte on weekdays 7:00 am-2:00 pm and buffet on weekends 7:00-11:30 am. We were very impressed with the brunch/breakfast timings until 2:00 pm that allowed us to do activities in the mornings and have lunch/brunch in the afternoon.

The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, and each meal was a true delight for the senses. Every dish was expertly prepared and presented. The menu offers a diverse range of dishes that cater to various tastes and dietary preferences. Each dish we had showcased the chef’s skillful execution and attention to detail.

We were very impressed with the impeccable service provided by the staff. From the moment we were seated, we were greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations, ensuring that our dining experience was personalized and enjoyable. The portion sizes were very generous and dishes were very reasonably priced.

In conclusion, our dining experience was truly exceptional. The delectable cuisine, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance all contributed to a delightful dining experience.

Housekeeping – We had an absolutely wonderful experience with the housekeeping staff during our stay at the resort. Their dedication to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment was truly exceptional. It was clear that the housekeeping staff took the time to understand our needs. They consistently provided extra towels, replenishing coffee bar and even arranged our personal items neatly. Housekeeping teams’ dedication to ensuring a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment did not go unnoticed. Kudos to the fantastic housekeeping staff!

I would like to commend the staff for their outstanding hospitality and professionalism. Every member of the team, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, greeted me with warm smiles and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any request truly made me feel like a valued guest. We really appreciated the multicultural experience the resort offered. They had staff from all over the world and it was a great experience for us to interact with staff and share the cultural experiences.

I had been to the resort to celebrate my Birthday and the staff took exceptional care in making me feel special with personalizing birthday treat. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a remarkable and unforgettable vacation experience.
